We recently used Hamilton’s for our house move last week, and I can honestly say they were outstanding from start to finish. From the very first phone call, the office team (Jay and Astral) were incredibly efficient, organised, and genuinely helpful. They made the whole process feel smooth and well-managed before moving day had even arrived.

On the day itself, the team went above and beyond. Terry’s van-packing skills were something else entirely – like watching a giant game of Jenga in reverse, but with absolute precision. Sam and Justin worked tirelessly emptying the house, handling everything with such care and respect. It genuinely felt as though they were moving their own belongings rather than ours.

What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere they created. Moving house can be stressful, and I was definitely feeling a bit flustered at times, but their calm, reassuring approach (with plenty of humour along the way) completely put me at ease. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they consistently checked where we wanted items placed in the new house, making the whole experience feel collaborative and thoughtful.

Not a single item was damaged, lost, or broken, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and attention to detail. Their organisational skills were absolutely top-notch – even for a team of lads! ?

From that initial phone call to waving them off at our new home, the service was exceptional throughout. I couldn’t recommend Hamilton’s highly enough to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly, and genuinely first-class removal company.

What a Fantastic company. Simply by googling local removal companies I came across Hamiltons - Thank goodness.

Moving homes is definitely a stressful time, however the from the moment I contacted Hamiltons and spoke to Jay till the completion they made the whole experience painless.

Beginning with Jay he was excellent. He was honest, clarified everything what they offered with assurances and definitely met his promises.

Secondly the day of the move - Terry, Sam, Dan and Jimmy were amazing - so professional, polite, helpful and calm - which was really appreciated. Nothing was too much for them. Even had 2 other team members join them later in the day after they had finished their job in London.

Finally once we had emptied so many boxes, Hamiltons came back and removed all these and waste packaging free of charge.

WHAT A SERVICE. This company is definitely built of honesty and excellent people and it shows. PLEASE try these guys you will NOT be disappointed.

We found Jay to be extremely personable and comprehensive in his initial visit to our home to provide a quote, and we were comfortable with the cost of a pretty big move. We had to reschedule our moving date at least four times due to circumstances beyond our control and each time Jay and his team in the office were really helpful (not to mention sympathetic) in what was, to us, a pretty stressful situation. The team that packed us up in Norfolk were hard working and knew what they were doing, the fragile items were brilliantly packed and nothing was damaged. The team unpacking us in Somerset were likewise helpful, cheerful, timely and nothing was too much trouble. Hamiltons were not the cheapest of the firms who quoted for us, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, they were worth the extra. Many thanks to Jay and his team.

We have had areallygreat experience with Hamiltons. From start to finish they have been friendly, helpful, professional and very competent. The team who arrived to carry out the move worked very hard and did an excellent job packing, wrapping and loading. They then transported everything down to our storage unit where it was professionally and carefully packed in, maximising space and following instructions to keep some items more accessible. I couldn't recommend them enough and we will definitely be using them again. Thank you Hamiltons!

What a fantastic company; excellent communication from my initial contact with jay, to the lovely ladies that answered the phones with any query or question I had, to the chaps that came to pick up and deliver my furniture to storage I cannot thank them enough.

I was in such a bind moving big/heavy furniture due to my handyman (aka my dad) having an injury and phoned the team requesting help and it was completed promptly and swiftly.

Reasonably priced and completed with diligence; I couldn’t have asked for more.!

The whole experience of moving was nothing short of torture! However, Hamiltons were outstanding and made the actual move smooth, seamless and really stress free! Abby and Astral were amazing putting up with constant changes of date, listening to my woes and providing reassurance. Then Terry and Sam provided a wonderful service packing up all our things extremely carefully and moving them 152 miles to the other side of the country. They unpacked quickly and carefully and were incredibly supportive and helpful. A couple of days after the move a neighbour came over to see us and commented on how good Hamiltons were and how impressed she was with the guys. Hamiltons were excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I was very pleased with the way the lads worked and surprised as to how quickly they actually completed the job. They were cheerful and polite throughout. Up to now sadly haven't been able to unpack the many cartons that have been left. To be cheeky though I wondered when it was all over whether it would have been possible to unload the larger items like beds etc first so that they could all be placed in the desired positions before filling the rooms with piles of cartons!

Am not complaining, just a gentle thought. but overall great and many thanks to all concerned.

After obtaining 3 quotes already which varied considerably, we decided, after reading various reviews to get a quote from Hamiltons Removals. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The person who gave the quote could clearly see that we hadn’t got a lot of stuff to move as we were downsizing and had cleared a lot of it already. He also took into account we would do our own packing.

On the day of moving, the 2 lads were friendly, polite and respectful of us and our property. They made the actual move one of the least stressful parts of the process. They were amazing! We would certainly be happy to recommend Hamiltons Removals.

I used Hamilton on the 14th March, I do not have one bad word to say about this company Ben and Scott were very professional and went above my expectations, very pleasant and they never stopped working from the time they got here till the time they went home, there was another 2 guys that helped them at my location (sorry forgot there names) they was also very professional.

Hamiltons' team handled our house move over a 2-day period and from start to finish performed excellently in every respect. Garden furniture, statuary and the contents of our garage and workshop were moved on day 1 by Matty and Mark who worked superbly together. House contents were dealt with on day 2 by a 4-person team (Chris, Mark, Demelza and Tom) who were equally effective and worked brilliantly together to get the job done without fuss. All Hamilton's people were polite, respectful, obliging, good humoured and an absolute pleasure to work with. They made the stressful business of moving house as pleasant and stress-free as it could be. We recommend Hamiltons without reservation and would definitely use them again

We used Hamilton's for our residential move in the Woodbridge area. Would 100% recommend. They provided a friendly, competitive, comprehensive and trustworthy service from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. Great customer service too. The Foreman, Mark and his team were brilliant and should be commended for this strength, organisation, care and efficiency. I have already written to Jay at Hamiltons to thank them for the excellent service that we received during the move. What we liked. 1) Jay did a great job from beginning to end. He telephoned me regularly with updates and to make sure that we were happy with everything. He returned my calls promptly and was always reassuring and helpful.  2) We had a great crew (it was a big move) who worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. they are very polite, helpful and professional.  3) Everything was well packed with special items receiving extra care, nothing arrived broken! We're not planning to move again for sometime but we will be recommending Hamiltons to any family/friends that are. .

Service cost: £300

Cannot fault them either for their packing service or on the day itself. Their system was a little too efficient though - everything had a printed sticker with a number and my name on it. A year later I am still removing stickers from my furniture and possessions. They could have used stickers which came off more easily and didn't require hours of scraping, use of solvents and damage to surfaces. Very disappointing, spoiling an otherwise professional, accommodating and friendly service with what amounts to a kind of vandalism.

Have now used Hamiltons twice. Once for a move from Suffolk To Eastbourne on the south coast, about 9 years ago, and now in July 2019, moving back in the opposite direction, north-west of Ipswich
All I can do is give an honest review from our own experience, which was excellent on both occasions, with only a small glitch on the second move. I have a vintage jukebox, worth in excess of £10,000 which Hamiltons made a bespoke, padded wooden crate for on the first move. When I contacted them for a quote re the second move, the very helpful woman in their admin still had our records which included the dimensions of the original crate, which she said they would replicate to ensure a safe transportation. When they turned up in Eastbourne - no crate. Fortunately the guys (who were blameless) did all they could to safeguard the machine, and it arrived safely. The move took two days, as it needed two lorries to take all our things out of storage before travelling to Suffolk. The team of 4 worked steadily, carefully and cheerfully, and were a friendly bunch.
Despite arranging to meet them at the (empty) new property in Suffolk at 10am the following day, they were already there and waiting when we turned up, and got straight down to it. Nothing was damaged, all was put wherever we directed it, and I was infinitely grateful that I'd not decided to try and do it myself! From my own two experiences, I would definitely recommend.

We decided to use Hamilton's following visits and quotes from 3 other companies. It was the sheer professionalism of Jay Willets that clinched the deal for us, and I'm pleased to say that we were delighted with the service and have no hesitation in recommending Hamilton's. Moving home is stressful enough at the best of times, but the Hamilton's team, lead by Steve, but including Justin, Mark and Arrin went out of their way to make the experience actually quite enjoyable.
